Mermaid House was built in 2002 and has 2000 sq, ft. of living space and a wrap around porch, right on magnificent 2 mile long Tar Bay beach. The full length covered porch on the ocean side has a teak table and chairs for outside dining and teak chairs and chaise lounges as well. A path leads to the beach where the water is crystal clear and offers excellent swimming, snorkeling, and fishing. About 300 yds down the beach and close to shore is a beautiful coral reef.

The house has central airconditioning and ceiling fans in every room. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 Vz baths and 2 outside showers. The house sleeps 6 (8) people and all bedrooms have king size beds. The master bedroom has sliding doors opening to the ocean front porch and its large adjacent bathroom has a stall shower. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms share a bathroom. One of these bedrooms is on the ocean side with sliding doors opening onto the covered porch while the other has french doors opening on the side deck. All bathrooms have double sinks and all linens and towels are provided.
