Our cottage is a new two bedroom structure built on a hillside overlooking the ocean to the east and the mountains to the west. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has two single beds. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen is complete with dishes, cooking utensils, refrigerator and stove.

There are many wonderful treats along the corridor to explore. Some of the best places for snorkeling & sightseeing as well as shopping & dining are very close. Hodges Bay is the perfect place for the romantic or the adventurer.

Dominica (pronounced Domineeka) is the largest and most mountainous of the anglophone Windward Islands. The official title, Commonwealth of Dominica, should always be used in addresses to avoid confusion with the Dominican Republic. It is 29 miles long and 16 miles wide, with an area of 290 square miles (750 square kilometres). The highest peak, Morne Diablotin, rises to 4,747 feet and is often covered in mist.

Many of the people are small farmers and are known to be some of the friendliest in the Caribbean. The island’s mountainous terrain discourages the creation of large estates. The total population is approximately 74,000. Most are of African descent. About 29 percent live in the parish of St George, around the capital city of Roseau, on the Caribbean coast. Other parishes are much more sparsely populated. The parish of St John, in which Portsmouth (the second largest town) is situated contains only about 5,000 people, or seven percent of the population.
